We took on the exciting challenge of converting a raw, unfinished space in the scenic hills of Shimla into two fully functional and aesthetically refined Airbnb-ready room sets. This turnkey project was executed for our client, Mr. Bhardwaj, who envisioned a boutique-style guest experience that blends comfort with a stylish, contemporary vibe.

Project Overview

The site consisted of two separate units on a single floor, which were reimagined and reconstructed into self-contained 2-room sets — each including a bedroom, compact living/dining space, kitchenette, and attached washroom, designed with travelers' convenience and comfort in mind.
Our design approach focused on maximizing space, creating visual warmth, and integrating smart functionality within a limited footprint.

Design Highlights

Living & Dining Areas
Each unit features a cozy living-dining combo, adorned with modern wooden furniture, neutral-toned upholstery, and accent lighting that adds warmth without clutter.
Decorative light fixtures and a thoughtfully layered ceiling design elevate the space, offering a premium hotel-like feel.
The dining setups are compact yet inviting, with elegant finishes like marble-look tops and gold-accented tableware, adding a touch of understated luxury.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms in both units are designed to offer a serene retreat, featuring comfortable bedding, soft lighting, and a tasteful combination of textures and finishes.
Walls are kept minimal yet visually engaging through curated art pieces and subtle wallpaper patterns.
Ample storage is provided through built-in wardrobes without compromising on open space.

Material & Finishes

Locally inspired textures and contemporary materials were blended to give the interiors a warm, inviting, and high-end ambiance that aligns well with the Airbnb aesthetic.
Flooring, lighting, wall cladding, and furniture were all selected to withstand frequent guest use while retaining their charm over time.
